READERS' REVIEWS

One of the best cheating/justice stories I've read. Raw, unapologetic, and not sugar-coated for a second. The heroine's fight for justice was fireworks. Loved it from start to HEA!"

Pulled me in from the start and never let go. Emotional, addictive, and so well written!"

An amazing and heartbreaking story — there aren’t enough words to describe how powerful this book is. Well worth the read, even with POV shifts along the way.

BIO

Romance author R.L. Thompson portrait photo.

My name is Ricki. Canadian writer, mom of four, chaos juggler, and creative gremlin with more unfinished notebooks than shelf space. Saskatchewan raised, B.C.-detoured, Alberta rooted, and somewhere along the way realized my heart lives in stories.

I’ve spent ten years working graveyard shifts, surviving on coffee, resilience, questionable sleep habits, and a mashugina brain I can only try to excuse. Life has handed me joy and heartbreak in measures I never expected, including the unimaginable journey of loving children with a life-limiting disorder. Grief has reshaped me, but it will never silence me. It taught me softness, depth, and the kind of strength that doesn’t roar, it simply whispers, keep going.

Books became therapy. Ink became a voice. Stories became a place to slow the chaos.

My dad was a master storyteller, the kind who could hold a room with nothing but a moment, a memory, and one cheesy line he always repeated. I’m proud to carry that legacy forward. I write fiction, not memoir. My novels aren’t lived experiences, but they carry the emotional truth of what life has taught me: love is complex, loss changes us, and healing is never linear.

I write about heartbreak, betrayal, forgiveness, and the kind of growth that cracks you open before it lets the light in, all the relevant feelings of grieving those who are still living. If you love stories that make you feel, welcome.

Author of The Telling Room and All That Remains of Us, emotionally charged fiction for readers who crave raw humanity, flawed love, and redemption that tastes earned.

Stick around, I think you’ll feel something here.
